What if we're all characters in a story trying to get out?

"We can move, of course, change direction, rattle about, but our movement is contained in a larger one that carries us along as inexorably as the wind and current . . . "
-Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead

This is one of my favorite plays. I suppose the quote would only make sense if you've read it, but I'll attempt to delve into the concept to make it easier to comprehend.

The main idea of this story is that it is a play within a play. What R&G do here is dictated by the larger plot in Hamlet. This could be compared to our individual lives inside a vast universe. Another theme the play taps into is predestination. For R&G their actions are predetermined by an author. But what about us? Could it be God? Fate? Chance?
We are confined within these limits.

This is the fifth picture for my AP 2D portfolio. The theme is "confinement" which will be portrayed in various ways through fashion photography.

Photography is finding the perfect moment and saving it
just like that time your cousin woke up after you covered his face in whipped cream!

Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like?
:iconmichellemonique:
oh xD
Well, thanks then

Michelle, i was a professor of art for 8 years at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. Trust me, if your AP teacher is not blown away by all of this work, find a better teacher... :)

Wow really? I had no idea!
Was it traditional art or photography?

She usually likes my stuff but today she seemed apathetic...maybe she was in a bad mood XD
