First off, I enjoy your photography. Second, I think that the ultimate goal of any thoughtful critique should be to help the photographer achieve their best. You are obviously talented, but I think that you are capable of more.
As it relates to this photo, I am not crazy about how the models were arranged (specifically the male). I understand what you were trying to achieve (i.e. stalking her), but I believe that his positioning fails to communicate that. Even if you left the positioning to 'artists discretion', the shadows across his face are a bit too heavy. I also feel that the costume/clothes are bit disjointed from the female model.
I love everything about the female model - costume, makeup, lighting etc. It's fantastic.
A very lovely photograph. Yet as others have said: I feel the male is altogether out of place. It feels more like he has accidentally stepped into a prepared shot rather than being a part of it. Which is a shame, as the bottom half of the photo is very arresting.
This is a great collection of photos. I really, really love them, they are so gorgeous and tell such a wonderful, captivating story. This particular photo is my least favorite of the bunch, i think it the tie...it makes the picure look to modern, i think. the rest of them are absolutely stunning and i think you (and the models -they are fantastic...esecially the girl...she is gorgeous and creates wonderful feeling into her character. tell her that please) did an excellent job. simply beautiful.
thanks! yea the original concept was supposed to be a broken doll in the forest thing... but we changed it to a romance once we got there..so the outfits dont match the theme xD
